
Maria C. Bonilla
Maria Bonilla has more than 16 years experience as a civil engineer. She is a registered engineer in Texas and a Certified Floodplain Manager.
In her role as project manager, Maria’s responsibilities include FEMA floodplain reclamation, commercial, municipal and residential land development, general civil engineering plan production, use of computer models to analyze flood control and drainage projects.
Maria is proficient with computer modeling of hydrology and hydraulics applications. She has experience with the use of Civil 3D, HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, GeoHECRAS, and similar programs. In 2017, Maria participated in FEMA’s pilot program to determine the possibility to reduce processing times for some of the more basic MT-2 cases.
Maria resides in Dallas with her husband, Lorenzo, and their two young boys. She enjoys playing soccer, the clarinet, and traveling.
